How are we collaborating on the project?
– Using unity collaborate/teams so that everyone can access the unity document and we can work on it together.
– Slack meetings on Monday and Friday to check in with team members, making sure the project is on track.
What does the scope look like now?
– We have pulled back the scope to just the first quest (First area) of the game.
– This includes the main following features: 3 characters (Aurora, Meryl, Doreen), Auroras house, the first questline and dialogue to go with it, the first environment (Grasslands).
– The smaller scope should help us to adjust to remote working at a better pace and ensure that we produce a good vertical slice.
What needs to be done?
– The following assets need to be made to fit the final level design.
- garden beds (with spicy bean plants growing inside)
- crates of beans
- barrel
- shipwrek parts
- Anchor
- sandcastle (Next to the NPC Doreen)
- Gemstones (For under the archway)
These assets need to be assigned to people to be made, then assigned to be put into the game.
Putting the file together will require work on lighting, shaders, textures, placement and testing.
So… a more detailed plan outlining exactly what we are going to do over the next 4 weeks is required.
